I NEVER, EVER thought the bright “eating spot” in my day would be a bowl of Cocoa Puffs laced with ground flax seed. Yeah, yeah – the fruits and veggies are sweet and shiny. But, a gal has to have a little chocolate and sugar.
You might remember that I vowed to eat two tablespoons of flax seed every single day. So, I tested out a few things and found that the best way to get it down without having to run to the bathroom was to put them in Cocoa Puffs. It’s kind of been fun having my “treat” for the day for breakfast. Of course, I was worried about the example I’m setting for my kids. But, then I thought. . .I’m flipping eating nine fruits and vegetables a day. Get over it.
PS – I wish they’d bring back those Cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs commercials. Those were the days. . .
PSS – I tried the flax oil. All I have to say is that combined with nine servings of fruits and veggies, it’s not a good mix for anything but your bowel. You just as well quit your day job.
